Play Based Learning

Today Room 11 and Room 14 experienced learning through play; the purpose of this is for tamariki to:

Ø  Find things that capture their interest

Ø  Get involved and spend time playing around with and exploring objects

Ø  Persevere with activities they find difficult or unfamiliar

Ø  Test, share and talk about their ideas

Ø  Make up new ideas by themselves and with others

Ø  Initiate or take responsibility for their own learning
